1932 Ford Roadster – A Record-Breaking Bonneville Salt Flats Racer
Today’s featured vehicle at Nostalgia Street Rods is not just a classic—it’s a champion. Our 1932 Ford Roadster was purpose-built for high-speed racing on the legendary Bonneville Salt Flats, and it carries with it a remarkable legacy of performance, precision engineering, and racing heritage.
This race-prepped roadster was the result of a special collaboration between Art Goldstein—a passionate automotive enthusiast and collector—and Jesel Motorsports of North Carolina. Known primarily for their high-performance valvetrain components, Jesel brought cutting-edge mechanical expertise to the project, while ARP (Automotive Racing Products) supplied the car’s frame and performance components.
Built for Speed, Proven on the Salt
This 1932 Ford roadster competed at Bonneville for four years, fine-tuned over multiple racing seasons. After extensive modifications and testing, the team achieved an astonishing top speed of 253 mph, setting a class record on the Salt Flats—a rare and incredible feat for a body style dating back to the early 1930s.
